If you dare to take a 20 patch Color checker chart to a modern
paint shop, and allow them to measure the neutral patch of your
choice with their spectro, I'm sure they will be happy to
mix you a match to it. Generally the paint matching software
creates a spectral match to the target, but you can always
buy a small amount and check the result yourself if you have doubts.
They should give you the recipe for the paint system of choice,
so you can then get as much as you'd like.
