Very handy indeed. But I don't want any kind of convention to solve
that problem as it is about the only bit of interesting repro work
that we get nowadays... and the only use that we now have for
PrintOpen...
Long live the four colour black & white DPS. Especially the ones that
print sepia on one page and blue on the other :-)
I realize that I didn't offer a naming convention to replace it but
perhaps this will prompt discussion to come up with something.
Haven't got much to offer there. But I would suggest that Adobe code
some form of hierarchical menu structure to the profile menus (even a
crude one based on a folder structure in the ColorSync/Profiles
folder). We have to scroll through hundreds to find the one that we
want.
It should operate more like a font menu (or the Finder's Script Menu)
so that we have ISO Web Coated and then a sub menu for our own UCR/
GCR variants.
