Thanks for your reply.
Just wondering if density is the only thing that matters in total ink limit? Maybe the highest density isn't the purest color available? Could the L in lab values be used to determine best choice? When L is in its lowest or does not get any more lower in certain point...

Determining optimal total ink limitOnyx gives you a good set of charts to print for this purpose. Interpreting the results can be tricky and somewhat of an art. I've found that a densitometer is very helpful in establishing those limits that give the purest colors or best saturation.
