TC Optimization?
TC Optimization?

If anyone can help, I would like this issue clarified:
1) In the ProfileMaker online help file, click the "Contents" tab;
2) Click on the "MeasureTool" entry;
3) Click on "Testchart Generator";
4) Click on "Generate New Testchart";
5) Click on "Define Testchart Layout";
6) Scroll the page content to the last paragraph where it says the
following:
"Note: Use TC Optimization to set up the testchart to respond to possible
weak points in your output system, thus permitting better characterization
of the output device. The linearized main testchart describes the
characteristics of the output device much better than a standard testchart."
I'm puzzled by this tip, since I cannot find this "TC Optimization" feature
(I assume "TC" stands for "Test Chart") anywhere within MeasureTool. Maybe
I'm not looking in the right place. Stranger still, besides these cursory
mentions, there seems to be no in-depth explanation in the help manual of
this "TC Optimization" feature.
Is this instruction a forgotten remain of the prelinearization feature that
was present in a beta version of ProfileMaker, but was later taken out? If
that is not the case, could anyone please tell me how to access this
command?
Thank you, and best regards.
