Bob

There is a true alternative now, which will be in the shops soon: SED Displays !
You can take a look at these (at the moment publicly shown 36" )displays on the
Las Vegas Consumer Electronics show (5-8.january 2006). They are originally
specified as TV devices, but I´m pretty shure that there will be computer displays
using that technology too. Their viewing angle is identical or better as CRT´s,
the quality is absolutely impressive

About the technical background - take a look here:

Subject: Crt monitor dilemma

Can anyone suggest where I might (still) get any high quality 21² crt
monitors for critical color work. I¹m open to refurbished or new.

If I must go lcd are there any out there that have relatively good viewing
angle qualities? I routinely sit next to clients reviewing work and want us
to see the same thing!

Thanks
Bob Cornelis
