Aha! That is very interesting. And makes me wonder out loud what Apple is
doing to include CIECAM02 (or later incarnations of the Color Appearance
Model) into its ColorSync architecture.
It seems to me that the challenge ahead from Vista's WCS (Windows Color
System), which apparently implements its own "flavor" of CIECAM, ought to be
taken very seriously by Apple (I'm a shameless partisan on this one!), lest
Windoze end up dominating the field of color management (...too painful to
contemplate...).
I know how jealous Apple is of its trade secrets, and rightly so, but I
would like to hear from them what they think of this upcoming challenge from
the "madman of Redmond" (just kidding, o sire and master!), and what their
stance is on it.
