"If's Friday and I have a  50 ft. roll of Backlit Media I need to cut in
half. A job was destined for the Roland but I've decided to run it on an
Epson. (I need the Light Black)

Does anyone know is this is doable and where I would take it? I guess the
most important thing is what type of saw/blade would be used to cut, so
that the edges are not ruined. "

I can't say it would work with that material, but we've cut Tyvek and other rolls of media using a powersaw believe it or not. The blade was whatever was on it at the time and the edges were not all that smooth, but we cut the edge furthest from the print head and ensured that the file was sized so that it didn't print too close to that edge. It ran through the machine fine. I suppose a hack saw would have done just as well...I don't know if backlit material would fuse together under power equipment. :-) Do this at your own risk...you didn't hear it from me.  ;-)
