Easy to claim that without proof, but the CIECAM02 has actually been peer reviewed, and tested against several combined data sets, and is seen to be the current best fitting model. I'm not aware that any other published appearance models have been proven to be superior to CIECAM02 (although several seem to be no worse - the statistics makes evaluation rather inconclusive at times). Unknown appearance models (even if they "far outperform" CIECAM02), are fairly useless as a basis for industry standards....
