I use an Orange Micro SCSI to FireWire adapter with my LS 2000 and
VueScan.
Works great here :-)

see a time when we will move to LCD's...just not today...
*The question-
Should I buy the software update for the Xrite (is it worth it?) or
should I
just buy a new spider or (insert your favorite brand here).
We do have a few LCD's in the shop...so I could use a new "eye" for
those
screens, but it's not "a must". We have ColorShop 2.6 but always
found it
confusing.
Any input would be very, very appreciative.
