L*a*b colors in PS CS2 9.0.1

Hello all,
I am wondering if anybody else is experiencing the same dilemma I am. I am making a PMS chart in Photoshop in L*a*b color. I started it a while ago, and am getting back to finishing it. I started it before updating PS to 9.0.1 (Mac OS 10.4.7) and all of the colors that I had filled before the update have the correct L*a*b numbers. I have the layer as a numbered layer, not a background layer, as someone in the group had pointed out a while ago. When I go to fill the selections now, the Lab numbers are off (only a point in *a and *b, but off none the less). What gives? Is this another bug in the PS 9.0.1 update, or have I forgotten something since the last time I had worked on it? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
