Right, but it's not at all accurately perceptually rendered -
the gamut volumes of the RGB gamut and the target gamut
are not likely to line up to any degree of accuracy,
and in any case, you've just thrown away fundamentals like
absolute and relative colorimetric accuracy of the profile, from
which a real gamut mapping could have been computed.
