Did you read about the inter-instrument-agreement tests FOGRA performed
at the last two "Digitalproof-Foren" in Germany? I think with this
results in mind, everyone should try to stay at *least* in half of the
tolerances --- as long as he measures with his *own* instrument.
But if e.g. a print shop performs receiving controls on proofs of his
customers, tighter tolerances make no sense: many proofs would fail
because of inter-instrument divergences. And that's the reason why
FOGRAs tolerances are like they are.
