Well said John...and why some of us, fed up with trying to do our
best in a production environment under these conditions, gave up and
simply went into consulting to try and improve the status quo. The
secret is to improve the quality of printing under the guise of
saving them money!

That's because US customers put price way ahead of value. Printers
(like everyone else here) just do what they have to do to survive
in spite of how they'd rather work. Sadly, it's not very often that
we're called upon to do our best.
