What paper should I use and where do I get a CMYK profile that would make the best "SWOP" proof? I'm using UltraChrome Inks.
The Epson Commercial Proofing Paper is widely used although some people find the yellowish paper color just too different from the paper stock most people are carrying these days. If you want a brighter white paper stock my favorite two picks are:
EFI Offset Proof Paper 9200 - ~$1.00 per square foot in rolls, $2.12/sqft in sheets - I think this has to be the world's best offset press proofing paper. It's available in 13x19 sheets and rolls. Expensive.
Lexjet SemiMatte - ~$0.45 per square foot in rolls, $.60/sqft in sheets - This is my best value offset press proofing paper recommendation. It looks pretty similar to a common cover weight grade 2 or 3 house stock. It's available in all common sheets and sizes. Very affordable.
