What are the advantages of Gutenprint?
For me, when used with the Epson Pro 9600, other than no printer
utility available to check ink levels, etc., I don't see any
advantage. And with the Epson Stylus Photo R2400, the advanced black
and white control was not available. If it is available, I don't
know how to access it.
(I have been using Gimp-Print for the office Epson Stylus 980, and
other than no printer utility being available, I have found it quite
decent.)
Also, the RIPs I have used, permit me to load a bunch of files into
the program, and tell the RIP to print. Is this available in
Gutenprint?
Thank you in advance for your response.
Cheers
