Hi Rick.
Reading their promotional copy, it seemed to me that they had figured out a
clever way of making it look as if they were "proving" their point,
specially to the uninformed: "See? The purple is blue on your camera's LCD
screen! Ergo, your camera can't see purple!"
Which may confound enough people, and make them think that these folks may
be on to something. Of course, their "proof" proves nothing whatsoever,
other than, as you state, the fact that LCD screens may not be particularly
good at displaying purples (to which one might sensibly reply: so what?).
Once the stratagem's dazzle wears off, then one realizes that the colors may
be there or not in an image depending on a specific camera's *capabilities*,
not based on what the *LCD screen* shows or doesn't, and that the two have
no direct connection.
