Hi Paul,

I believe that if you've got a file in LAB there is little point in going to an RGB space before going to CMYK. You are probably going to go from Device to LAB to DevIce in your RGB to CMYK conversion so introducing two transforms to get back to where you started from isn't logical.


It's a bit like contacting film in them old repro-days, the more generations you introduce the further away you get from the original intent..



I would say that the ideal situation is just go to CMYK..
