Thanks to all who volunteered suggestions yesterday to the questions I
posted. I think the next step I take will be to try a Hutch target to
build my profiles from.
I did have a bit of a breakthrough, due to a very simple step. Instead
of using the supplied numbers for the Macbeth Colorchecker when building
a profile, we read the Colorchecker with and Eye-one and created a new
reference file.
The resulting profile was greatly improved. The exaggerated red
saturation went away, the lack of green saturation was relieved. We shot
1 canvas, 2 watercolors and 2 silk prints. After processing, we set the
white and black points in photoshop, made a print of each, and was very
pleasantly suprised by the results. All the reproductions were visually
very, very close to the originals. Much better than I expected.
Thanks again for the input.
Regards,
