explains that for untagged image data "Generic RGB" is assumed.
That's true for any time an untagged image is matched to another
color space.
Untagged images in Preview or Safari however are in effect not
matched. They're assumed to be in the display's color space, so when
drawing to the screen the match from source to destination has the
same profile for source and destination, so the matching is skipped.
