Very true, and thank you for making that point.
But what I was trying to call attention to is that testcharts (like, for example, the ones from Bill Atkinson, or those that come with ProfileMaker) come untagged for a very valid reason, since their only purpose is to send color *numbers* to the device, not a color *appearance*.
Tagging them would require an extra step that is completely unnecessary, as you point out, if one means to print the testcharts correctly for the purpose of profile creation.
