Let's assume that you have the technology to colorimetrically match to an
incredible exacting degree the TR-001 dataset on your FinalProof. In
principle, if the 2 degree 1931 CMF are any good, this would have all the
chances of passing SWOP's visual compliance testing, IMO. But the ultimate
criterion, in my book, is this: will a real web offset press be able to
match your proof? Somehow, I know others may not agree with me on this, but,
getting the numbers right is not necessarily a guarantee of a visual match.
The CIE folks would say "on average" it will match.
