So, the question has got be asked, if the printing of Blues is better
printing MCY, then why did the ISO organization use CMY for their
print sequence.
Has anyone tried changing the print sequence and have documented the
results? If the colour doesn't change much, do we have to insist a
print sequence of CMY for ISO compliance.

We had this issue - and all my printers said it was to do with
blues. The majority of blues have solid cyan and a tint on magenta
and they wanted to print the tint of magenta on plain paper and put
the solid cyan over it - to stop it mottling
Black sequence is the same - they don't want to over print the
black on a solid process colour and therefor print if first. We
however are begininning to think the higher densities of black ink
we are now running is contaminating the colours down the line
