with a UV-cut Pulse.

-- Yes, it would be far cheaper to buy a UV-cut Pulse. ColorBurst will sell
you one (hardware only) for $795, I think (check their web site). OTOH, I
got a complete Pulse Color Elite system, with the accessory kit, for $300 on
eBay. So it might be worth some looking around - especially since that
product line will die as of next month (X-Rite & Gretag Macbeth are merged &
will drop the Pulse & Optix for EyeOne devices).
