I hear your frustration, but it's a matter of unfortunate timing, to be fair
to all concerned.

We are going through an intermediate period: most applications that we use
today on our Macs were written for PowerMacs and must be ported to Intel
Macs via Rosetta.

When CS3 is finally released some time next year, it will be a fully
Universal Binary app, and the pokiness that is now driving you batty will
just be a bad memory.

Also, in the meantime, having a good amount of RAM installed in your Mac
helps quite a bit (2GB, for example).

Regards.
