I like both apps. Aperture because it is exactly the kind of code that I expect Apple to be churning out and Lightroom because it isn't the kind of code that I'd expect from Adobe :-)

My views on the viability of Lightroom are tainted by how infuriated I am with the staleness of Photoshop and its pathetic performance on modern Macs. But, while Lightroom is available as a free beta I'll keep trying it.
