Hello Kamil,

My first impression is that if you feel a 6 to 8" wide "LaFrame" around your monitor would reduce "visual distractions". It might help to first cut out a piece of foam board, paint it flat black (or an appropriately dark 'Lacie Blue') and hang it around your monitor. You may just discover you're not that easily distracted after all and in the process save yourself a bundle! :)
