Because ColorNavigator sucks and basICcolor Display (and ColorEyes Display)
are superlative monitor calibration software. That's enough of a reason in
my book. Well worth the meager $100-$200 they want for it. Get this: the
super top-of-the-line NEC LED WG that retails for $7,000 to $8,000 does not
even come bundled with its own calibration software. One has to purchase it
separately. <give me a break, please> At least Eizo has the decency of
shipping *a* calibration software with the monitor. But, in my experience
(I've become somewhat of an expert at doing this, over the months, years and
long agonizing hours of frustration and countless iterations I've done this,
with all kinds of colorimeters, spectrophotometers and various software
packages), ColorNavigator still has a lot of catching up to do.
My two cents,
