Short of owing a true 5nm resolution instrument to fully comply

way of
going about this assessment.
Danny,
when you mention about the visual appearance being different even
though the
colour temperature is reading correctly, is that the same idea as
the colour
rendering index?
I'll leave Danny handle the finer points of this question but I'd
like to
say that, if I may, to me Correlated Color Temperature and Color
Rendering
Index are two very different concepts, although both information
complement
each other nicely in helping form a more complete judgement about
light

Since you have an EyeOne, you might like to measure your lights and
determine both the CCT and the CRI. You will find both capabilities
in SpectraShop, available from rmimaging.com . You will not need to
purchase anything to have it operate in a Demo mode which will allow
you to calculate both of these values. Demo mode restricts the number
of specimens you may acquire and will not save the results, but all
the tools are fully functional.
There is a PDF manual provided, but if you have any problems, please
contact me off list for assistance. Perhaps actually checking the CRI
and CCT together will reveal something.

Robin Myers
