That's the idea. It's one of the biggest reasons I wanted a spectro in the
printer.

The heads have multiple checks including Infrared sensors per nozzle. The
nozzles can be remapped as the heads have double or parallel lines. This is
done in the background. The ink set was chosen to firstly favour
lightfastness, and secondly to assure clog free printing.
It's as you say time will tell. I haven't seen a clog yet on my machines, so
it's looking good so far.
And yes GMG on the Z printers is offering new options for prepress never
before possible in production printers. I should be using GMG on my Z3100
very soon, and have just received a beta of Colorproof. Back to rips for a
while I suppose.
