Karl,
Interesting that you mention the UV lamp in addition to the D50 lamps
because, if memory serves me well, the SpectraLight Junior viewing booth by
GretagMacbeth has a UV lamp in addition to the other lamps installed.

I found it made a visual difference in color when the UV lamp was switched
on. But what you describe is a variable intensity UV lamp?
