Thanks to all those who made helpful suggestions regarding monitor
calibration under Parallels. Unfortunately, I still cant seem to get a match between
an image displayed in Photoshop Parallels and in Photoshop OSX side by side on
the same machine. I think what I need to do is calibrate and profile under
OSX, then * profile only * in Parallels. This assumes that neither Parallels,
XP, or the monitor profiling system touch any of the luts or other display
systems. Does anyone have first-hand experience matching "displays" between
Parallels/XP and OSX on the same machine?
Thanks to a tip from Peter (Thank you!), I found that VMWare's public beta
of Fusion produces better performance and is less buggy. However, XP under
VMWare doesn't show the color management tab in the display settings. I've tried
Microsofts Color Control Panel but it doesn't launch. So how to manage
display color under VMWare/XP?
Thanks,
Eric Walowit
