Your conclusions are perfectly valid, just not particularly relevant to
people using QTR b/w profiles for black and white printing :-) :-)
I've regularly used them to fine-tune black and white printing with Epson
driver ABW modes.
I've also included info on their generation and use in several articles
aimed at helping people get better B/W prints - they work, and lots of
people have been helped by Roy's excellent work in this area.
Fortunately, even knowing the technical deficiencies you've pointed to, I'll
still be happy to suggest their use to people ;-)
