Gimp-Print/Gutenprint can do this (Gutenprint is simply the new
version of what used to be Gimp-Print).  You can select an Ink Type of
4 color photo, which will print in CMYK.

ok!

I doubt the printer will print with an empty light cartridge, but you
could always partially fill it with dark ink.


Now that I think of it, I can just put anything to press the 'lever'
that senses ink levels on that machine. It's a totally physical
mechanism; just a small wood block and some tape might do.
