Tony,
What is the difference between the 3800 and the other Epson printers? I have a 3800 delivering tomorrow, but I just thought that it was a stripped down 4800. What's new?
The 3800 adds a 9th ink cartridge, so you don't have to flush a third of a cart to change from Photo Black to Matte Black, a feature Epson calls "Auto-sharing Black Ink technology" (allowing both Photo and Matte Black ink to be installed and switched automatically). I guess you could call it a Green Improvement... saves you green money, and the environment from all that flushed ink.
A friend's 7200 has died and he's looking to replace it.
(Epson had a 7000 and a 7500) I'm not sure what a 7200 is, but the 3800 also has a Light black and a Light-light black which reduces (or eliminates) metamerism in black & white prints.
I wonder since there is a Photo Black and a Matte Black, which these lighter blacks are optimized for (photo or matte media)?
