I believe they are the same.

Fiery supplied us with a faulty ES1000 and we used an EyeOne for a couple of days while they sent us out a new one - but we only used it with the ProofCheck module that verifies Fogra media wedges.

ISTR that we just selected EyeOne from a device menu and everything worked as expected.
