Matthew,

We’ve just uploaded an ICC profile calculated with the FOGRA 39L dataset (ISO Coated v2) on our web site.
This ICC profile has been calculated with the latest version of PerfX Color Management Pro™ v. 4.3

here is the page link to download the ICC profile:
http://www.tglc.com/english/presentationPerfX_ENG.html

About your blue test: I understand you made such test for the purpose of comparison between two ICC profiles.
Many does such test BUT, how often do you have to match this 255 blue? Even in a picture (from digital camera or scanner) you will never get this R 0 G 0 B255 value.

Also, the "ISOcoated.icc" from ECI was made with PrintOpen 4.0.5.2 with black generation to 350/95
The new "ISOcoated_v2_eci.icc" was made with PrintOpen 5.2.0 (info from the "cprt" ICC tag) with black generation to 330/95
Maybe they’ve change something from version 4 to 5 about their gamut mapping? Or, maybe the black generation algorithm is different? I don’t know.

Hope this could help!

Louis Dery
