The fact the printer has a press proof is absolutely no guarantee you will
get what you want, believe me. Sadly.

Also sadly, I've had to deal with offset printers who won't commit to matching their proofs, requiring someone to attend the presscheck.

I remember Brian Lawler at a seminar many years ago saying the first
question he asks a new printer is whether they can match their proof,
and commit to matching it before turning over the job. I've been doing
it ever since.
