But, from my POV, any photographer (or printer, or designer) who is
prepared to provide CMYK for free is putting another pre-press
person out of work. And I don't think that giving the client an
ever *cheaper* product is a good enough reason for doing that.
If I were a client, I'd have a real problem with that -- it sounds
like you're putting the interests of a third party above those of your
customer. Unless you gave me a good reason why it's in *my* interests
to pay more, I'd look for someone else.
You know that I'm prepared to fight with photographers against
"Royalty Free" - why can't photographers fight against "Repro
Free"?
If a photographer wants to sell his work for a fixed price (which is,
I believe, what royalty free means -- the customer can then use it as
he or she desires), where is it for anyone else to disagree with his
or her decision?
