That's good, Jon, though it presents an added cost (how much, by the way?).

But there are those of us who already have our own spectros and profiling software, and may prefer to keep creating our own profiles that way, perhaps using the HP Z-3100's built-in Eye-One just as a tool for calibration.

So, the question becomes: does the HP software present any obstacles in the way of that type of workflow? Does it allow for that way of working? Or, instead, does it only accept profiles created by its own profiling routines?
