Well considering LP didn't operate on any raw data files (there were not
that many at the time), didn't really store or use XMP data as individual
edits, was able to work non globally on pixel based images (after conversion
to a FITs file) and had a heck of a lot of different kinds of tools not
found in any raw processor I know if, I don't see the similarity.

What makes you feel they are similar?
