Using PMP on a paper that I know has optical brighteners (Epson Enhanced
Matte)
Measure the target and build a profile with UV Cut checked.
Do the same(starting completely over) with UV Cut No checked.
Take a look at your saved data using the compare function of Measuretool.
What I see is the exact same data in density.
Some differences in color.
Ok, now I got it, thank you.
Everything is in order: Density is measured relative to the paper and
roughly speaking it is a measure of the ink thickness. The iSis
basically "sees" the paper a little bit darker an more yellowish if
there is no UV in the light, but this has no practical bearing on the
densities: The paper color is mapped to D=0 in both cases, therefor you
won't see any essential differences.
Density is a measure to describe the technical state of a printing
process -- it is not useful to depict our perception.
