I asume that the question for the 'best monitor profile' includes also
the calibration.

That's an idea of course, but keep in mind that the visual experience
for example judging dark greys against black will be _very_
depenendent on the surround and ambient lighting, just naming some
other conditions like
* which test file do you use
- embedded profile or not
- gray ramp dithered or not
...
* calibration test including active monitor profile or without
(both makes sense, but you have to be aware when you are testing
what exactly)
* software calibration like for a Cinema Display, manual aided
software calibration (adjusting the white point) for most other
displays or real hardware calibrated display like a Eizo CG or Quato
Intelli Proof monitor?
