Matt,

I used to have matte 15" powerbook before. I sold it.

I was comparing both new MBP in Apple store and I liked glossy. I bought MacBookPro glossy for myself. My wife has matte MacBook. I think it glossy is a little sharper and it has more contrast. I don't use it for critical color.
