So then the PhaserMatch calibration does a linearization (& grey balance)
for this particular printer and returns it to this "state" day after day (or
week after week) - but NOT necessarily to the same "state" as the other 2
printers.

Sorry - should have mentioned that after the 1st PhaserMatch calibrations
were sent to the printers - I printed another target chart from PhaserMatch
- then performed another set of measurements - and saved this 2nd set of
measurements to compare. My reasoning being that this second set of
measurements were from a freshly calibrated printer.

You are right - looked at the previous version 3 - and they had the
capability to create a profile with scanner & IT/8 - but now in version 4
(at least Mac version 4) they only have ability to create Device Link
profiles. Need 3rd party software to generate printer profiles.

OK I'll have to see if the PhaserMatch calibrations return the individual
printers to the same stable "state" day after day.

>>>    + Profile your printers (Phaser1.icc, Phaser2.icc etc)
>>> + Select your simulation profile (like SWOP, ISOcoated v2)

>>> + Download these Profiles to the printer's memory

Yes - we always use "Photo" Print Quality. Have not set the "More Options"
to - Apply to CMYK. Will try that. Paper type is always the same for all
processes. The only thing I have to verify is that Color Correction was set
to 'None' during the calibration - and not the Device Link Profile
(TekColor) correction we created for each printer.
