I¹m noticing when measuring the Fogra Media Wedge with our GM EyeOne (rev2)
for proof verification that
say for FOGRA27 max primary which has a 5 dE tolerance
I¹ll get a measurement of 5.44 which is over the tolerance and causes the
proof verification to fail.
But when I went back later and re-measured I got a new measurement of 4.83
which is now under the <5 dE
and thus the proof now passes the proof verification.
Is this just an indication of the accuracy (or repeatability) of the EyeOne
measuring device? This represents a difference of around .61 dE (using the
dE2000 calculation formula).
Several additional measurements yielded results of 4.87, 4.60, 4.81, 4.73 (a
difference of only .27)
I should note that the proofs are from a Phaser 7760 toner based laser
printer so do not think prints need any time to ³stabilize²
EyeOne passed diagnostics from utility and is only 1 year old.
