So besides being less expensive, what's your point and how can you help this
fellow who HAS the Beamer?
I mentioned that I've profiled probably a hundred different projectors over
the years with almost universal success. To aid the original poster (all I
did was suggest something might be wrong), he should use the EyeOne
Diagnostic tool to see that the device is OK. Since this $1000 product is a
true multiasker, I'd ask if he's had any issues building printer profiles,
measuring ambient light or profiling a display?
Also, I find that the Easy mode in Match seems to work just fine for
projectors. Lastly, be aware that when you mirror using a projector, only
ONE profile can be used for both devices. The projector profile should be
loaded and used making what the audience sees look great but the laptop
display is also using this profile, it might look poor. That's a limitation
of the OS which would be cool if Apple could fix this.
Lastly, you mention charts. Is the application ICC aware? Are you using this
on a Windows machine? X-Rite has a little goodie for use with PowerPoint on
Windows (no experience here, I don't do windows).
