Richard,

If it were me I'd just run that new 5500 with the Onyx 6.5 you've
already got.
It's plenty robust and from my experience Onyx 7 still isn't ready for
prime-time. Surely there's a driver for your 5500 already in it, but if
not you can get one at Onyx's ftp site.
