Camera profiles and reference file correction

Hi -

I have been making general-use camera profiles for use with C1. The
profiles are useful. I'm thinking of doing even better.

In order to improve my profiles, I'm thinking of going to the extent
of measuring my Colorchecker SG.

Which brings me to the further idea of measuring the illuminant used
for capturing the target, and employing the spectral values of both
illuminant and target to recalculate the LAB inputs to the profiling
package. Which otherwise would, I guess get the D50 LAB values output
by the spectro software (i1) written into the ref file.

Don't be shy - tell me why my idea is stupid or more trouble than it's worth.

Edmund
