Hi Xabier,
Thank you. Which software do you recommend for making the Develink
profile ? ArgyllCMS ? Link-o-lator ?
And what about using the printer profile as working CMYK space ? The CGR
is already done (we're already in CMYK!) but the ink limit is still a
issue. It can be done in the RIP but a profile base solution seems a
valid option too.
Best regards,
Lorenzo

hello Lorenzo...
about editing only in CMYK... you knows the problems and limitations of
CMYK and what they should do....
I recommend to use like working space a "standart" press CMYK like
Isocoated.. and assume that all untagged images are in this space... I know
that is not the best way... but you have to assign a profile to your images
anyway..
And after that use the DeviceLink profile to convert CMYK 2 CMYK from your
Working space to your press space. this way allows to you to do the GCR and
ink limit settings..
If every thing is more or less well done... like this way you should to be
abble to "predict" the final color, and to let know to the customers wich
CMYK space they should to use...
hope this helps you...
