Dear John:
Your question has been brought to my attention, and I
am pleased to provide a response.
It is not entirely clear which PANTONE guide you are
referring to; thus, for the purposes of this question I will assume you mean the
PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE. Please advise if this is not the case. For
clarity purposes, the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE displays the PANTONE colors mixed
using solid ink formulations, and printed as spot colors on coated, uncoated,
and matte coated paper stock.
With respect to the dates you have provided, I will
discuss the PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE, Third Edition 2005, and Fourth Edition
2006.
There are no changes whatsoever to the colors contained
in the Third Edition and the Fourth Edition. In fact, the only changes
between the two editions are as follows:
1. Front cover design changed to reflect
Pantone's updated corporate branding.
2. Icon added underneath each color to indicate
that the color is 'achievable in RGB'.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of
further assistance to you with respect to this or any other
issue.
Best regards,
John Stanzione
